21 Grams

Looked foward to this movie because I saw that Sean Penn was in it. Such a talented but totally different guy outside of a movie, it’s nuts.
Anyways, I think my expectations for this was a little too high, so I wasn’t overwhelmingly impressed with it, but I did think it was good, and I love films that have its chronology all messed up. Figuring out and putting the pieces of the plot together is one of my favourite uh, ways to watch a movie. The story was really relevant to my interests too because it involved both religion and death, topics that I find pretty interesting, especially the latter.
Also, I had no idea that the female lead was Naomi Watts and thought she was some unknown actress, so I was surprised. Unfortunately I didn’t think her acting really stood out despite her getting an award for it, but I found it pretty good. I guess. Seriously though, who am i to judge.
I give this film a 80/100 for belonging to the category of hyperlink cinema, and it was thought-provoking, but not overwhelmingly incredible. Also, my love for Benicio del Toro seems to be ever-growing, if that is a word at all.
