Ocean’s Eleven

lol My dad asked me why I borrowed this from the library when it’s always being played on TV. I answered that there are no commercial breaks in the DVD version, and I know when it’s starts/is on if I borrow the thing.

Anyways, finally decided to watch this 2001 remake since a friend said it was pretty good and that I should watch it. I wasn’t about to decline that recommendation either because 1) I really like George Clooney’s face + voice and 2) I’ve heard a lot about it…kinda.

So, Ocean’s Eleven is a pretty good movie. Really entertaining, with some really funny dialogue and comebacks. (That conversation between Clooney and Roberts lololol. Such fast and awesome jabs at each other)

However, I could see some holes in their heist planning (How much money are they spending to steal that money? Would it not almost even out? Also, who spent all that time making 3D plans of the vault?), but other than that, solid and fun! I didn’t expect the ending at all, which was great.

I also didn’t care at all for the romance part, though, and Julia Roberts wasn’t as pretty as the guys in the movie made it seem lol. It also drove me insane that Andy Garcia seemed really familiar to me and and I spent a lot of time thinking about what movie I saw him in while I watched the film.

Despite being made in 2001, it still seems relatively refreshing and new. The acting isn’t bad at all, but seriously…Clooney’s not very expressive is he. Oh well, at least he blinded me with that smile of his. And Batman voice. Stop that! I also found it funny that Brad Pitt was eating 90% of the time he showed up, but he seemed kind of unnatural sometimes since he always looked around and swayed. Or whatever he did. Matt Damon looks so young in this movie! So cool! I haven’t watched any of his movies yet, so I was expecting him to be some kind of mature veteran, but he wasn’t like that here. I give this a 75/100!
